Our aftermarket replacement Caterpillar Edge Protector/Upper Wear Plates are heavy-duty weld-on sacrificial wear component installed on the top upper surface of excavator and loader buckets. Unlike lip shrouds that protect the cutting edge and heel shrouds for rear corners, the Upper Wear Plate is specially designed to resist continuous top-side material sliding, ore backflow abrasion, and repeated cargo friction during loading, dumping and stockpiling cycles.
