During loading, stockpiling and reverse digging operations, this area suffers continuous material wash-out, sliding abrasion and heavy corner impact. Caterpillar heel shroud absorbs most friction and impact as replaceable sacrificial wear part, preventing heel scalloping, base-plate grooving, corner thinning and bucket-structure hollowing.
